Stretching to reach my ambitions by Maris Young of Young Honest Mother In All Honesty

My days are fuller now, tending to all of the opportunities landing in my lap. And it’s clear that my capacity to hold more is expanding, increasing, stretching.

From the outside, it probably looks like I’ve lain dormant for years. But in reality, I’ve been stumbling my way through The Cave, unearthing antiquated behavior patterns and examining relics of stagnant pain. My work has been primarily internal and therefore, unseen.

But these last couples of months have brought forth a flurry of movement in my professional life. And it’s become glaringly obvious just how out of shape I am when it comes to carrying multiple ambitions.

In any given week, I move between:

  • writing this column to share with you

  • editing my book that I wrote little by little

  • sharing about the grant-funded program that allows me to offer free Doula services to Fort Worth-area families…

Paid subscribers unlock the rest of this week’s prose, practice and prompt (+ my full archive of writings).
